The Trombone

The Trombone is a Brass instrument that produces sound when vibration from the player's lips cause the air column inside the instrument to vibrate. A slide that can be extended to different lengths is used to change pitch of the trombone. This slide separates the trombone from other instruments in the Brass Family. Most brass instruments have three valves that can be pressed down or open to change pitch of the instrument.
