The Trumpet

The Trumpet is a Brass instrument that produces sound when a buzzing vibration from the player's lips cause the air column inside the instrument to vibrate. The trumpet has three valves on the top of the instrument than can be pressed down or left open to change the pitch of the instrument. Pitch is also produced by the amount of air pressure being put into the instrument. One of the most popular brass instruments, the trumpet, is a Bb instrument with the highest range of any of the other brass instruments.
